Akadémiai Kiadó, founded in 1828 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, is Hungary’s oldest continuously operating publishing house. veterinary research

Acta virologica (4 issues per year in printed and electronic version) is an international journal of predominantly molecular and cellular virology. It provides means for rapid publication of original papers dealing with fundamental research mainly on human, animal and plant viruses. As a matter of tradition also rickettsiae are included. Areas of interest are structure, genetics and morphology of viruses, molecular biology of virus-cell interactions, pathogenesis of viral diseases, viral immunology, vaccines, antiviral drugs and viral diagnostics. Original experimental papers may have the form of full-length articles, short communications or letters to the editor. Besides them also review articles, book reviews, announcements and reports on various scientific events are accepted. Published regularly since 1920, Acta Zoologica has retained its position as one of the world's leading journals in the field of animal organization, development, structure and function. Each issue publishes original research of interest to zoologists and physiologists worldwide, in the field of animal structure (from the cellular to the organismic level) and development with emphasis on functional, comparative and phylogenetic aspects. Occasional review articles are also published, as well as book reviews. Published by Blackwell Publishing for The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, Acta Zoologica incorporates an extensive International Advisory Council ensuring that only papers of the highest quality are accepted for publication.

This journal is a fairly rapid (average time from submission to publishing was 10.7 months in the last four years), peer-reviewed, non-profit oriented publication forum for the accepted papers in the fields of animal taxonomy and systematics, zoogeography, animal ecology, population biology, biodiversity studies and nature conservation problems. Acta agriculturae Slovenica is a scientific journal published quarterly by the Agronomy, and the Zootechnical Departments of the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Source of high quality research from the field of agronomy, zootechnics, applied biology and related fields from Slovenia and other countries.

Acta Chirurgica Belgica (ACB) is the official journal of the Royal Belgian Society for Surgery (RBSS) and its affiliated societies. It publishes Editorials, Review papers, Original Research, and Technique related manuscripts in the broad field of Clinical Surgery. Experimental studies are considered when the results have a clear translational clinical value. Topical correspondence on the published content is welcome.

acta ethologica publishes empirical and theoretical research papers, short communications, commentaries, reviews and book reviews in the field of ethology and related disciplines, with a strong concentration on the behavior biology of humans and other animals. The journal places special emphasis on studies integrating proximate (mechanisms, development) and ultimate (function, evolution) levels in the analysis of behavior. Aspects of particular interest include: adaptive plasticity of behavior, inter-individual and geographic variations in behavior, mechanisms underlying behavior, evolutionary processes and functions of behavior, and many other topics. acta ethologica is a journal of the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA), with the co-operation of the Portuguese Ethological Society (SPE) and the Spanish Society of Ethology (SEE).
