ACS — Advances in Complex Systems aims to provide a unique medium of communication for multidisciplinary approaches, either empirical or theoretical, to the study of complex systems. The latter are seen as systems comprised of multiple interacting components, or agents. Nonlinear feedback processes, stochastic influences, specific conditions for the supply of energy, matter, or information may lead to the emergence of new system qualities on the macroscopic scale that cannot be reduced to the dynamics of the agents. Quantitative approaches to the dynamics of complex systems have to consider a broad range of concepts, from analytical tools, statistical methods and computer simulations to distributed problem solving, learning and adaptation. This is an interdisciplinary enterprise.The goal of ACS, therefore, is to promote cross-fertilization of ideas among all the scientific disciplines having to deal with their own complex systems. These include, but are not limited to, biology, physics, engineering, computer sciences, economics, cognitive science and the social sciences. It is in fact the exchange of concepts and techniques — developed within areas as diverse as spin glass physics, game theory, molecular biology, evolutionary optimization, or psychology — which has proven itself to be a major driving force in complex systems research.ACS predominantly publishes original research articles in the field of complex systems and encourages submissions of papers which result from collaborations across traditional academic disciplines.

Les auteurs correspondants des Hospices Civils de Lyon ont la possibilité de publier leurs articles de recherches en Open Access dans cette revue. Pour bénéficier de cette prise en charge, déclarez les "Hospices Civils de Lyon" dans votre affiliation principale et utilisez votre adresse mail "@chu-lyon.fr" lors de la soumission de votre article.

L'éditeur précise les consignes suivantes à respecter lors de la soumission via sa plateforme:

  1. Utilisez votre adresse mail "@chu-lyon.fr" lors de la soumission de votre article
  2. Vérifiez que les Hospices Civils de Lyon apparaissent bien dans la zone "Institution"
  3. Liez votre ORCID à votre compte
  4. Si possible, réalisez la soumission depuis un ordinateur relié au réseau des HCL

ATTENTION:

  • Si l'éditeur vous demande de sélectionner la licence applicable, privilégiez la licence CC-BY à toutes autres.
  • L'accord porte uniquement sur les types d'articles suivants: "Article original", "Article de synthèse".
  • Veuillez noter que les types d'articles suivants ne sont pas couverts par cet accord : "Communication brève" et "Formation continue".
  • Cet accord ne concerne pas les revues Nature et BioMed Central (BMC).
  • Les articles publiés en accès ouvert immédiat au titre de l’accord peuvent être déposés dans leur version finale éditeur dans une archive ouverte, par exemple dans HAL-HCL.
  • Dans le cas des articles sous abonnement, il est permis par la Loi République numérique de déposer dans une archive ouverte le manuscrit auteur accepté d’un article et de le diffuser avec un embargo de 6 mois (sciences dures) ou 12 mois (SHS).
