Neuropeptides

ISSN: 0143-4179eISSN: 1532-2785
SIGAPS Level D
Doyens de Médecine

The aim of Neuropeptides is the rapid publication of original research and review articles, dealing with the structure, distribution, actions and functions of peptides in the central and peripheral nervous systems. The explosion of research activity in this field has led to the identification of numerous naturally occurring endogenous peptides which act as neurotransmitters, neuromodulators, or trophic factors, to mediate nervous system functions. Increasing numbers of non-peptide ligands of neuropeptide receptors have been developed, which act as agonists or antagonists in peptidergic systems. The journal provides a unique opportunity of integrating the many disciplines involved in all neuropeptide research. The journal publishes articles on all aspects of the neuropeptide field, with particular emphasis on gene regulation of peptide expression, peptide receptor subtypes, transgenic and knockout mice with mutations in genes for neuropeptides and peptide receptors, neuroanatomy, physiology, behaviour, neurotrophic factors, preclinical drug evaluation, clinical studies, and clinical trials.Original papers predominate. Manuscripts may be of any length, but must be complete studies; preliminary communications are not accepted. Review articles and hypothesis papers are welcomed, and will be evaluated in the same way as experimental papers. Authors intending to submit a review are advised to communicate their intentions to the Editor, to avoid possible duplication.

Neuropsychological Rehabilitation

ISSN: 0960-2011eISSN: 1464-0694
SIGAPS Level D
Doyens de Médecine

Neuropsychological Rehabilitation publishes human experimental and clinical research related to rehabilitation, recovery of function, and brain plasticity. The journal is aimed at clinicians who wish to inform their practice in the light of the latest scientific research; at researchers in neurorehabilitation; and finally at researchers in cognitive neuroscience and related fields interested in the mechanisms of recovery and rehabilitation. Papers on neuropsychological assessment will be considered, and special topic reviews (2500-5000 words) addressing specific key questions in rehabilitation, recovery and brain plasticity will also be welcomed. The latter will enter a fast-track refereeing process.Peer Review IntegrityAll published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees.Special IssuesIssues devoted to a single topic are regularly published in this journal; these are sent free to subscribers in that year, and are also available to purchase separately as books for non-subscribers. Neuroradiology

ISSN: 0028-3940eISSN: 1432-1920
SIGAPS Level C
Doyens de Médecine

The journal Neuroradiology publishes papers on neuroradiological diagnosis and treatment, the application of basic sciences to both, and the use of apparatus. Also presented is important information on normal neuroanatomy and those aspects of neurophysiology that affect radiology in its widest sense. The journal offers papers that give critical guidance on choosing techniques as well as those that describe new advances. CT is now of prime importance. Many older methods are still appropriate. Ultrasound, positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are of growing significance. From time to time, the journal presents comprehensive review articles, invited or offered that are more purely didactic. Case reports describe examples of rarity or practical instructional content, as do single page case notes.
