In recent years the Mediterranean has emerged not only as a region of intertwined populations, economies and politics, but also of shared basic foods and dietetic patterns, which have been shown to improve life expectancy and reduce cancer incidence. Meanwhile, pharmaconutrition is spreading in all the clinical fields and new clinical trials have been designed concerning antioxidants, nutrients and non-nutrients derived from vegetables (mainly but not only from the Mediterranean area) that could have a role in the complementary therapy of chronic diseases and cancer. Based on these premises, the Mediterranean Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism aims to publish original scientific papers (reviews, articles and case reports) on metabolism (diabesity and eating disorders), nutrition (epidemiological, basic, clinical and artificial), dietary and nutritional practices and management, and their impact on health from prevention to treatment. In accordance with the usual policy, the journal will also host the proceedings of relevant congresses and shorter notices focused on the original character of the Mediterranean nutritional civilisation. In addition, this journal is intended as a platform of scientific debate and knowledge-sharing among students and clinical practitioners, and between them and the broader scientific community, and last but not least as a tool for promoting and enhancing scientific cooperation.

Die medizinische genetik ist die größte Fachzeitschrift für klinische und allgemeine Humangenetik im deutschsprachigen Raum. Sie wird herausgegeben von der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Humangenetik (GfH). Ihr Fokus liegt auf der Fort- und Weiterbildung: namhafte Autoren vermitteln sowohl grundlagentheoretisches als auch anwendungsorientiertes Wissen in Form von Themenschwerpunkten und für die zertifizierte Fortbildung. Zielsetzung der Zeitschrift
Medizinische Klinik – Intensivmedizin und Notfallmedizin ist ein international angesehenes, interdisziplinäres Publikationsorgan. Die Zeitschrift richtet sich hauptsächlich an Ärzte auf Intensivstationen und in Notaufnahmen sowie an Internisten, Anästhesiologen, Chirurgen, Neurologen und Pädiater mit Interesse an intensivmedizinischen Fragestellungen.
Übersichtsarbeiten behandeln aktuelle Fragestellungen der Inneren Medizin mit intensiv- und notfallmedizinischem Schwerpunkt. Frei eingereichte Originalien präsentieren wichtige Studien des Fachgebietes und fördern den wissenschaftlichen Austausch. Kasuistiken zeigen interessante Fallbeispiele und ungewöhnliche Krankheits- bzw. Behandlungsverläufe. It is intended mainly for physicians active in intensive care and accident/emergency units, but also for internists, anesthesiologists, surgeons, neurologists, and pediatricians with special interest in intensive care medicine.
Comprehensive reviews describe the most recent advances in the field of internal medicine with special focus on intensive care problems. Freely submitted original articles present important studies in this discipline and promote scientific exchange, while case reports feature, interesting cases and aim at optimizing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. In the rubric journal club well-respected experts comment on outstanding international publications. Review articles under the rubric 'Continuing Medical Education' present verified results of scientific research and their integration into daily practice.
