Autonomic & Autacoid Pharmacology is an international journal dealing with the interactions of drugs and related substances with the central and peripheral divisions of the autonomic nervous system and its effector organs and tissues. All aspects of basic experimental pharmacology in intact animals, isolated tissues and biochemical systems of tissue fractions are covered. This includes the effects of drugs acting on the autonomic nervous system and its effector organs in humans. The drugs under examination are primarily those with actions on the cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal systems of the body. The effector organs of the autonomic nervous system is interpreted in its widest sense to include substances affecting smooth and cardiac muscle in general. The scope of the journal has widened to include the pharmacology of autacoids including angiotensin, endothelin, kinins, prostaglandins, leukotrienes, opioids, cytokines, histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine.
BMC Pharmacology and Toxicology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of chemically defined therapeutic and toxic agents. The journal welcomes submissions from all fields of experimental and clinical pharmacology including clinical trials. It is journal policy to publish work deemed by peer reviewers to be a coherent and sound addition to scientific knowledge and to put less emphasis on interest levels, provided that the research constitutes a useful contribution to the field.
Bangladesh Journal of Pharmacology (Bangladesh J Pharmacol) is the peer-reviewed, open access official publication of the Bangladesh Pharmacological Society (BDPS). The printed version is published twice in a year (June and December). In the online version, papers are published immediately after acceptance. The current issue is incomplete.
Basic & Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology is an independent journal, publishing original scientific research in all fields of toxicology, basic and clinical pharmacology. This includes experimental animal pharmacology and toxicology and molecular (-genetic), biochemical and cellular pharmacology and toxicology. It also includes all aspects of clinical pharmacology: pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, therapeutic drug monitoring, drug/drug interactions, pharmacogenetics/-genomics, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoeconomics, randomized controlled clinical trials and rational pharmacotherapy. For all compounds used in the studies, the chemical constitution and composition should be known, also for natural compounds.
Behavioural Pharmacology publishes original research which studies the ways in which behaviour is affected by any aspect of pharmacology. Topics include drug, chemical and hormonal effects on behaviour and resultant behaviour methods for the study of drug action. Speed of publication is a major feature of the journal!Published 8 times per yearWebsite: www.behaviouralpharm.com.
An essential resource for R&D professionals and clinicians with an interest in biologic therapies.BioDrugs covers the development and use of biotechnology-based pharmaceuticals and innovative technologies for the treatment of human disease.
Biochemical Pharmacology is devoted to publishing original work on the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs and nontherapeutic xenobiotics. Its audience are scientists engaged in drug discovery and in identifying drug mechanisms of action. All areas of pharmacology are represented in the journal, including drug metabolism and kinetics. It is of particular value to those interested in anti-inflammatory drugs, cancer chemotherapy, neuropharmacology and cardiovascular pharmacology. While particular emphasis is placed on reporting findings that relate to the actions and metabolism of drugs and toxic substances at the biochemical and molecular levels, submissions in the areas of behavioral and physiological pharmacology and toxicology are also encouraged if they describe studies directed at defining mechanisms of action.Reports based on experiments conducted with mixtures, plant or animal extracts will not be considered for publication unless the chemical structures and concentrations of all substances are known and the compounds are obtained from commercial suppliers. The journal publishes the following types of reports:(1) Full-length Research Papers. These contain the results of original research on an issue of relevance to the field of pharmacology.(2) Commentaries. These are commissioned articles that provide the author's view on a selected topic of interest to pharmacologists.US National Institutes of Health (NIH) voluntary posting ("Public Access") policy Biochemical Pharmacology and Elsevier facilitate the author's response to the NIH Public Access Policy. Please bookmark this URL: http://www.elsevier.com/locate/biochempharmBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
