Aims and Scope Download Flyer Chemistry—An Asian Journalis a sister journal toChemistry—A European JournalandAngewandte Chemie. Chemistry—An Asian Journalis an international high-impact journal for chemistry in its broadest sense (2009 journal impact factor: 4.373). The journal covers all aspects of chemistry from biochemistry through organic and inorganic chemistry to physical chemistry. including interdisciplinary topics. Chemistry—An Asian Journalpublishes Full Papers. Communications. and Focus Reviews. A professional editorial team headed by Dr. Brian Johnson and an Editorial Board (headed by Nobel Laureate Professor Ryoji Noyori) ensure the highest quality of the peer-review process. the contents and the production of the journal. Chemistry—An Asian Journalis published on behalf of the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES). an association of numerous Asian chemical societies and supported by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh. German Chemical Society) and ChemPubSoc Europe. ISSN: 1861-4728 (print). 1861-471X (online). CODEN: CAAJBI. Volume 6. 12 Issues in 2011. Chemistry and Physics of Lipids publishes research papers and review articles on chemical and physical aspects of lipids with primary emphasis on the relationship of these properties to biological functions and to biomedical applications.Accordingly, the journal covers: advances in synthetic and analytical lipid methodology; mass-spectrometry of lipids; chemical and physical characterisation of isolated structures; thermodynamics, phase behaviour, topology and dynamics of lipid assemblies; physicochemical studies into lipid-lipid and lipid-protein interactions in lipoproteins and in natural and model membranes; movement of lipids within, across and between membranes; intracellular lipid transfer; structure-function relationships and the nature of lipid-derived second messengers; chemical, physical and functional alterations of lipids induced by free radicals; enzymatic and non-enzymatic mechanisms of lipid peroxidation in cells, tissues, biofluids; oxidative lipidomics; and the role of lipids in the regulation of membrane-dependent biological processes.Reviews, full articles and short communications will be considered for publication in each issue. Special Issues will consist of invited contributions organized and edited to cover specific themes.
